Going ‘glamping’? Check out Bella Solviva
ANTRIM COUNTY, Mich. — “Glamping,” a combination of glamorous and camping, is a new type of luxury camping gaining popularity in the country. Bella Solviva is a 229-acre glamping eco-resort near Torch Lake in Antrim County that will begin accepting reservations in August.
Bella Solviva is being developed in phases with a grand opening scheduled for spring 2016, but some accommodations will be available this fall. The campground will offer about 230 camping sites with a variety of options. Safari tents, tree houses, vintage RVs, bed and breakfast suites and cabins are some of accommodation options that will be available.
Themed areas like Shipwreck Island and the equestrian center will provide a variety of fun experiences for campers. Rates will be based on the time of year, type of accommodation and selected amenities. Prices at Bella Solviva will range from $57 a night for the most basic tent option, up to $1,000 a night for the most luxurious.
Campers will observe a strong commitment in day-to-day operations to reuse and recycle. Bella Solviva will also follow green building principles as it develops facilities, including the installation of solar panels, wind turbines, hydropower and heat generators.
