Neapco expanding tech center, creating 167 jobs in Bellville

BELLVILLE, Mich. — Neapco Drivelines will invest $57.7 million to expand its headquarters and technical center in Belleville. The auto supplier, a subsidiary of Neapco Holdings, will create at least 167 new jobs and add 15,000 square feet of dedicated technical space. The expanded tech center will open by 2017.

A majority of the new positions will be in manufacturing, and some engineering, marketing and research and development positions will also be filled. Neapco will study improvements to fuel efficiency, lightweight materials, strength and packaging.

Neapco Drivelines was awarded a performance-based grant from the Michigan Strategic Fund, a division of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation.
