In a nutshell, Nutshell is a rapidly growing startup

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Nutshell is a four-year-old Ann Arbor tech startup that has seen its revenue jump 60 percent and its staff double over the last year. The company has just raised significant funding to support its continued growth. Nutshell executives have also recently purchased three buildings in downtown Ann Arbor to create a tech hub.

Nutshell makes customer relationship management software that helps companies organize and automate their systems. This enables staff to work smarter and collaborate more with each other and customers.

The new funding will go toward increasing Nutshell’s marketing efforts to build relationships with potential users before they purchase the company’s CRM software. It also expects to hire up to 12 additional staff members to accommodate its expanding customer base.

According to its website, Nutshell believes in designing software to be cross-platform from day one, with robust APIs and native mobile applications.
