PackSpec expanding in Romulus, adding 70 jobs

ROMULUS, Mich. — PackSpec plans to invest $5.6 million and add up to 70 jobs in Romulus. The company is a manufacturer of corrugated and fiberboard packaging. It plans to redevelop a building for its packaging, manufacturing and assembly operations.

PackSpec will add 50 jobs within two years and another 20 jobs in 10 years at an average $15 per hour. The company’s expansion will nearly double the number Michigan employees. The project is part of PackSpec’s plan to consolidate and grow operations.

According to its website, PackSpec has created package solutions that fit customers’ products, budgets, deadlines and businesses. It has designed, produced, stored and shipped for a variety of industries from concept to delivery.
