MMI Engineered Solutions creating 47 jobs in Saline

SALINE, Mich. — MMI Engineered Solutions plans to expand its existing facility in Saline, investing nearly $5.6 million and creating 47 jobs. The company focuses on designing, manufacturing and molding solutions using advanced composites and engineered resins. The solutions improve performance, reduce weight and lower costs in OEM components and material handling applications.

MMI ES will add 50,000 square feet to its existing 80,000-square-foot facility. Currently about 100 employees work at the facility. The expansion will add space for distribution, injection molding, assembly and tooling. Its engineering lab and manufacturing facility support OEM product design and manufacturing engineers in diverse industries including transportation, defense, food processing, alternative energy and medical devices.

The Michigan Economic Development Corporation awarded MMI ES a Michigan Business Development Program performance-based grant. The city of Saline has offered support to the project in the form of property tax abatement. Ann Arbor SPARK provided support to the company throughout the incentives process and will provide ongoing support throughout MMI’s continued growth.
